The temple is getting to the point where I have to catch my breath every time I see it get a little taller. It's amazing how as it takes shape, it feels more and more like a temple.
The new stake center is all framed.
Today, there were some metal straps of some sort that were blowing in the wind and making an interesting noise. I'm not sure what they are for, but it was cool to see them catch the sunlight and dance in the wind.

Windows of Heaven
The walls are taking shape and getting taller, and there are some obvious windows on the sides of the temple
I didn't know that a stake center was going to be so close to the temple, but it is starting to take shape.
Founder's Boulevard now has one house that is close to the temple.

Through the fence
May 25 2020
This time when I went to visit the temple site, a new fence had been installed. I was both sad and happy about this. I was sad because that means that I can't get as close to the temple as I want to to take pictures, but happy, because we are allowed to drive our car close to the temple now, and it is a safer place for kids to visit.
I look forward to the day when the fence comes down, but for now, I will enjoy our new temple through the view of the fence.
The walls are starting to come up from the foundation, and we are starting to be able to see the shape of the temple.
Sprinklers and trees have been installed all around the temple site.
It's always fun for me to look at the building material and wonder where it will be used in the temple.
I love this huge crane, because I can see it from my house, and it makes it easier to see exactly where the temple is when you aren't standing close to it.
Street signs are in. I love to see the names that have been chosen for the streets surrounding the temple.
Lots of landscaping has gone in on Founders Boulevard. It is looking really nice.
I loved seeing all these bushes just waiting to be planted.

How Firm a Foundation
February 28 2020
My sweetheart took me out to the temple site today for date night. He let me shoot pictures to my hearts content. What a perfect night! As we got close to the temple, there were some new things to see. Big wide, beautiful sidewalks now surround the temple property. I found myself imagining all the people who will enjoy walking these sidewalks for years to come.
As we got closer to the temple site, my heart felt like it was going to explode with excitement! I could see concrete just below the ground! The foundation is being poured!! What a beautiful thing to see. I couldn't help but think of one of our family's favorite hymns, How Firm a Foundation, and I ended up humming it all the way home.
