The Mountain of the Lord and the Windows of Heaven ~ February 25 2022

The past little while, I have noticed more and more lights on at the temple at night.  It is amazing to see this light right outside my window.  It makes my heart happy every time I walk by and notice it.  I can't wait until the entire temple is lit up every night!  I zoomed in with my camera one night from my loft window and got this shot.

I really wanted to get a shot of the lights on the temple at night just as the sun was setting.  So I headed down to the temple and took a few shots while I waited for the lights to turn on.  The lights unfortunately didn't turn on that night, but I got some pretty shots with the sunset nonetheless.

I love the alpenglow in this one.  So pretty!

As we were just about to leave, I noticed something different about some of the windows in the upper levels of the temple.  I zoomed my camera in as far as it could go, and my heart just leapt as I realized that I was looking at stained glass.  And then I saw the pattern.  Mountains.  Just like my mountains that I love so much.  The mountains that remind me of the mountains talked about in scriptures that prophets climbed to talk with God.  And along with the mountains, waterfalls.  symbolizing the Living Water.

I can't wait till we can go inside and get a closer look at these beautiful windows.  I feel so blessed that our temple has such beautiful symbolism drawn from the beautiful mountains that all of us who live here love so much!  It is amazing to feel like this temple is being built just for me, but also knowing that everyone else who lives here likely feels the same way.  Heavenly Father sure knows how to help us feel His love through the little details of our lives and the little details in the temple.

Morning light at the temple ~ November 3 2021

I am still so amazed that we have a temple this close to home.  Every time I come here it just gets more and more beautiful.  It is incredible to see the spire without the scaffolding, with Angel Moroni up on top and the landscaping is looking more and more beautiful everyday.

Seeing how great the temple looks now, I almost expected the work to slow down, but when I got to the temple this morning, I felt like the workers were just as busy, if not more busy than ever.

I love being able to see the light through those upper windows.  I don't know if they will stay that way, but right now, I am loving it.

I really love the stone that they have around the entryways and where the sign for the temple will be.  It reminds me a little bit of the stone that is at the Manti temple.

It's wonderful to see the detail of the spire now that the scaffolding is down.
More and more trees and shrubs are being planted.  It's looking so beautiful.

I love the look of this side entryway.  Also, I had to get a picture of those pallets of stone.

This staircase is new, and it looks like there might be some kind of archway going in at the top of the staircase.

I had to peek my camera through the fence to get these shots, but I love the look of the landscaping with the streetlights.  That temple sign is going to look awesome too!

I am so glad they took the privacy screen off the fencing.  It's so nice to be able to see inside the grounds without peeking through little holes.

Angel Moroni is just stunning atop the temple.  I love the details of the spire as well.

I don't know what all of these pallets have on them, but it is exciting to wonder what it could be.
I love that there are flowers on the temple grounds now.
I am guessing some of the pallets have other things, but I zoomed in on this picture and the label says "ceramic wall tile"  So exciting!!  I can't wait to go inside and see it on the walls!!
